Return, Refund & Shipping Policy
Our policies for returns, refunds, and shipping.
Return & Refund Policy
Effective Date: September 25, 2026
At Basin RV Repair LLC, doing business as Basin RV®, we want you to understand exactly how returns, refunds, and warranty claims work before you buy. This Policy applies to parts and accessories purchased through https://www.basinrv.com, to used, salvaged, and clearance parts, to mobile and shop repair services, and to paid telephone consultations.
This Policy forms part of our Terms of Service. Where this Policy and the Terms of Service overlap, we have written them to agree. This Policy replaces all prior versions.
Before You Return Anything: Contact Us First
Do not ship an item back before contacting us. Unauthorized returns may be refused, and we cannot guarantee a refund for an item returned without authorization.
To start a return:
-
Call or text 432-310-5681, or email basinrv.serv@yahoo.com;
-
Provide your name, order number or proof of purchase, the item, and the reason for the return;
-
We will confirm whether the item is eligible and, if it is, issue you a return authorization with the return address and instructions; and
-
Ship the item back using the method we specify, including the return authorization information with the package.
Returns sent without a return authorization may be refused or returned to you at your cost.
Return Window
The return window is 30 calendar days from the date you receive the item.
-
Shipped orders: the window runs from the delivery date shown by the carrier.
-
Local pickup orders: the window runs from the date you pick the item up.
-
Orders marked as delivered but not retrieved by the customer: the window runs from the date the carrier first attempts delivery.
The window does not pause for time a return spends in transit, so please contact us before the 30th day rather than after. If your return authorization is issued within the window, the item may arrive after the window closes without affecting your eligibility.
Eligible Items: New, Unused Parts and Accessories
A new part or accessory may be eligible for return if all of the following are true:
-
It is returned within the 30-day window;
-
You have a valid receipt or other proof of purchase;
-
You obtained a return authorization before shipping;
-
It is unused, uninstalled, and unaltered;
-
It is in its original packaging, with all components, hardware, manuals, and inserts included;
-
It has no installation marks, tool marks, scuffs, scratches, cut wires, stripped threads, or other signs of handling or attempted installation; and
-
It is in resalable condition.
Opened packaging. Items with opened packaging may be refused or may be subject to a restocking fee, because we cannot resell an opened item as new. If you need to confirm fitment or appearance, please ask us before opening the packaging, and we will help you verify part numbers, measurements, and compatibility.
We recommend photographing the item and its packaging before shipping it back.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not returnable, refundable, or exchangeable unless Basin RV agrees otherwise in writing or applicable law requires a different result:
-
Electrical and electronic parts, as described in the next section;
-
Used, salvaged, surplus, and clearance parts;
-
Special orders and custom orders;
-
Items that have been installed, used, altered, modified, cut, drilled, painted, or fitted;
-
Items with opened packaging that cannot be resold as new;
-
Items missing components, hardware, manuals, or original packaging;
-
Items damaged after delivery through misuse, accident, neglect, improper storage, or improper installation; and
-
Items identified on the product page or at checkout as final sale or non-returnable.
Customers are responsible for verifying part numbers, measurements, voltage, amperage, dimensions, fitment, and compatibility before purchasing. If you are unsure whether a part will work, call us at 432-310-5681 before ordering.
Electrical and Electronic Parts: Final Sale
Electrical and electronic parts are final sale. They are non-returnable, non-refundable, and non-exchangeable once purchased and delivered or picked up.
These items cannot be tested or resold as new once they have been connected, installed, powered, or handled, and a returned electrical component cannot be verified as unused.
This category includes, among other items: control boards, circuit boards, ignition boards, converters, inverters, thermostats, relays, sensors, switches, electrical cords, power cords, wiring components, fuses, and similar electrical or electronic components.
Please verify the part number and compatibility before ordering. If you have questions, contact us and we will help you confirm the correct part.
Used, Salvaged, Surplus, and Clearance Parts: Final Sale
Used, salvaged, surplus, and clearance parts are sold final sale. They are non-returnable, non-refundable, and non-exchangeable.
These parts are sold AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH ALL FAULTS, without any express or implied warranty to the maximum extent permitted by law. Some items may receive a limited visual inspection by our technicians. Any inspection is limited to the observations specifically disclosed for that item and is not a certification of safety, condition, functionality, future performance, compatibility, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Used and salvaged parts are available for local pickup only. We do not ship used, salvaged, or clearance parts unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.
Buyers must inspect the item in person before purchase and are responsible for verifying condition, fitment, compatibility, and suitability.
Restocking Fee
Approved returns of air conditioners, major appliances, and other items identified on the product page or at checkout are subject to a 10% restocking fee, calculated on the purchase price of the item.
A restocking fee will not be charged unless it was disclosed to you before purchase. Where a restocking fee applies, it is deducted from your refund.
No restocking fee applies where the return is the result of our error, including an incorrect item shipped, a wrong part sent, or an item that arrived damaged or defective.
Return Shipping and Freight Costs
If the return is due to customer remorse or a change of mind, you are responsible for return shipping costs, and you bear the risk of loss or damage during return transit. We recommend using a carrier that provides tracking and insurance.
If the return is due to our error (an incorrect item shipped, a wrong part sent, or an item that arrived damaged or defective) we will cover reasonable return shipping costs.
Original shipping and freight charges are not refundable unless the return resulted from our error or applicable law requires otherwise.
Bulky Items, Freight, and LTL Shipments
Air conditioners, refrigerators, washers and dryers, and other bulky or heavy items may ship by freight or less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier. These items require special handling.
Before returning a bulky or freight item, contact us. We will tell you the return method and the return freight cost. Because freight rates are set by the carrier and depend on weight, dimensions, and destination, return freight on bulky items can be substantial, and that cost is your responsibility on a customer-remorse return.
Bulky items must be returned in their original crating or packaging where possible, secured for transport. Items damaged in return transit due to inadequate packaging may be refused or may reduce your refund.
Freight and LTL deliveries should be inspected at the time of delivery. Please see the damaged and defective items section below.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items and Shipping Damage
Please inspect shipments promptly on delivery, and inspect freight and LTL deliveries before signing the delivery receipt where possible.
For visible shipping damage, report it to us as soon as reasonably possible, and preferably within 48 hours of delivery. Please photograph the packaging, the shipping label, and the damaged item, and keep the packaging until the claim is resolved. Prompt reporting lets us pursue the carrier claim while the evidence is fresh, and it is a request, not a deadline that cuts off your rights.
For a damaged, defective, or incorrect item:
-
Contact us at 432-310-5681 or basinrv.serv@yahoo.com;
-
Provide your order number, photographs, and a description of the problem;
-
Keep the original packaging and all components; and
-
Do not install or use a damaged or incorrect item.
If the item was damaged in transit, shipped in error, or arrives defective, we will arrange a replacement, a repair, or a refund as appropriate, and we will cover reasonable return shipping.
Nothing in this section shortens any warranty period or limits any right or remedy that cannot legally be waived.
Refunds: Method and Timing
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.
Refunds are processed within 5 to 10 business days after we approve the return, not after the carrier delivers the item to us. We inspect returns as they arrive, but you do not wait on our inspection queue to have your return approved.
If a returned item does not meet the conditions in this Policy, we may decline the refund, issue a partial refund, or apply a restocking fee. If we decline a refund, we will tell you why and, where possible, offer to return the item to you at your cost.
Refunds will not exceed the amount you actually paid for the item.
Special Orders and Deposits
Special orders, parts ordered specifically for a customer, require a non-refundable deposit at the time the order is placed.
If you cancel a special order before it is fulfilled, the deposit may be retained by Basin RV to cover supplier restocking fees, freight charges, cancellation charges, and return freight imposed by our suppliers. If the deposit exceeds those actual costs, we will refund the difference unless we told you otherwise in writing at the time of the order.
Special order items are not returnable once ordered, unless we agree otherwise in writing or applicable law requires a different result.
Mobile and Shop Repair Services, Labor, and Diagnostic Fees
Mobile and shop repair services are quoted before work begins whenever reasonably possible.
Diagnostic fees, travel fees, dispatch fees, and labor charges are non-refundable once the technician has arrived or the service has been performed, because that time and travel have already been expended.
If you have a concern about a completed repair, please contact us promptly at 432-310-5681 or basinrv.serv@yahoo.com so we can look at it. Reporting a concern promptly helps us address it quickly, and it does not shorten or forfeit any warranty right you have. Concerns about installation workmanship are handled under the limited 90-day installation warranty described below.
Parts installed during a service are subject to the manufacturer's warranty only, as described below.
Limited 90-Day Installation Warranty
Basin RV provides a limited 90-day warranty on the workmanship of installation work performed by Basin RV.
-
Coverage: defects in the workmanship of the installation itself.
-
Start date: the date the installation work is completed.
-
Duration: 90 days from completion.
-
Remedy: repair or redo of the installation workmanship, at Basin RV's discretion.
The warranty does not cover the part or component installed; manufacturer defects in the part; pre-existing conditions or hidden damage; normal wear, age, corrosion, or deterioration; misuse, abuse, neglect, or accident; weather, hail, or water intrusion; unauthorized modification; work performed, altered, or disturbed by anyone other than Basin RV; failure to follow instructions; or conditions outside the scope of the installation work performed.
To request warranty service, contact us with your order or invoice number and a description of the issue. We may inspect the work before determining whether the claim is covered.
Parts carry only the applicable manufacturer's factory warranty. Any parts warranty claim must be pursued with the manufacturer. Basin RV makes no independent warranty regarding the parts themselves. Manufacturer warranties may be voided by improper installation, modification, or misuse.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, this limited installation warranty is the exclusive warranty provided by Basin RV and replaces all other warranties, express or implied. This does not limit any warranty, right, or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Appointments, Consultations, and Service Cancellations
Our paid telephone consultations, and their cancellation, rescheduling, and no-show terms, are described in Section 9 of our Terms of Service. Please review that section before booking.
For mobile and shop repair appointments, please contact us as early as possible if you need to reschedule. Missed appointments, locked or inaccessible vehicles, and inaccessible service locations may result in a service call or travel charge, which will be disclosed where applicable.
Local Pickup
Local pickup is available at 9031 Helen Ave., Odessa, TX 79766. Please call 432-310-5681 ahead of time to confirm that a representative is on-site and that your order is ready.
Used, salvaged, and clearance parts are local pickup only. Customers picking up parts in our yard must follow all posted signs and staff instructions, remain in designated areas, and comply with our yard access requirements. Persons under 18 are not permitted in the yard.
Your Legal Rights
Nothing in this Policy limits or excludes any right or remedy that cannot legally be waived or excluded, including rights under applicable consumer protection law and any implied warranty rights that cannot be disclaimed.
Refunds required by law will always be honored. If applicable law gives you a right that is broader than this Policy, that law controls.

Shipping & Freight Policy
Effective Date: September 25, 2026
This Shipping & Freight Policy explains how Basin RV Repair LLC, doing business as Basin RV®, ships products ordered through https://www.basinrv.com, how shipping and freight charges are determined, how delivery works, and what to do if a shipment is damaged or does not arrive. It forms part of our Terms of Service and should be read together with our Return & Refund Policy above.
This Policy applies to new parts and accessories. Used, salvaged, and clearance parts are local pickup only and are not shipped.
Carriers We Use
We ship through third-party carriers, which may include UPS, FedEx, and the United States Postal Service for parcel shipments, and one or more less-than-truckload (LTL) freight carriers for bulky or heavy items.
We may change carriers at any time based on the item, destination, cost, service level, and carrier availability. We are not able to honor requests for a specific carrier unless we confirm the arrangement in writing before your order is placed.
How Shipping and Freight Charges Are Determined
Carriers set their own rates. We pass carrier charges through without markup.
Carrier rates are calculated from several factors, including:
-
Actual weight and package dimensions;
-
Dimensional weight, which means the space a package occupies rather than its actual weight: this often controls the cost of large, light items such as vent covers, awnings, and appliance panels;
-
Distance and delivery zone;
-
Residential versus commercial delivery, since residential delivery usually costs more;
-
Delivery to limited-access locations, such as campgrounds, marinas, storage facilities, and gated communities;
-
Accessorial charges requested by the customer or required by the destination, including liftgate service, inside delivery, appointment or scheduled delivery, notify-before-delivery, limited-access delivery, and re-delivery after a failed attempt;
-
Fuel surcharges and seasonal surcharges;
-
Residential or commercial address corrections; and
-
Special handling, crating, or packaging required for certain items.
Any handling, crating, or special-preparation charge applied by Basin RV, where one applies, is disclosed to you separately before your order is accepted. We do not add a markup to carrier charges.
Where a shipping or freight charge cannot be calculated automatically at checkout, we will quote it before accepting your order.
Freight and LTL Shipments
Large, heavy, or bulky items (including air conditioners, refrigerators, and washers and dryers) may ship by LTL freight carrier on a pallet or in crating.
Freight shipments usually require someone to be present to receive them at the scheduled delivery time. Liftgate service is not automatic on every freight shipment and may need to be requested. If you need liftgate service, inside delivery, or a scheduled delivery appointment, tell us before the order ships so the carrier can arrange it and so any accessorial charge can be disclosed.
Freight deliveries are typically made to the curb or loading area, not inside a building, unless inside delivery is arranged and paid for.
Order Processing and Business Hours
We process orders during business hours:
-
Monday through Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Central Time
-
Sunday: closed
-
Closed on major holidays
24-hour emergency repair service is available for service calls. Order processing and shipping occur during business hours.
Orders placed after business hours, on Sunday, or on a holiday are ordinarily processed on the next business day.
Most parcel orders ship within 1 to 3 business days after the order is accepted. Freight, special-order, and drop-ship items may take longer because of supplier lead times and carrier scheduling. We will tell you if an item has an extended lead time.
Delivery Dates Are Estimates
Delivery dates and transit times shown on the Site, provided by a carrier, or quoted by us are estimates only. They are not guaranteed delivery dates.
We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, severe storms, hail, flooding, road closures, mechanical failures, labor disruptions, supply shortages, incorrect addresses, refused deliveries, limited access, or other events outside our reasonable control. See the Force Majeure section of our Terms of Service.
Risk of Loss and Title
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, shipment is made under a shipment contract. Title and risk of loss pass to you when we deliver the shipment to the carrier.
This does not limit your rights under applicable law. If a shipment is lost before delivery, we will work with you and the carrier to resolve it, including filing a carrier claim where appropriate. If your order is not delivered, please contact us at 432-310-5681 or basinrv.serv@yahoo.com so we can investigate.
Your obligation to pay for the order is not affected by a carrier loss, except where applicable law or this Policy provides otherwise.
Inspecting Parcel Shipments
Inspect parcel shipments promptly after delivery. If a package looks crushed, torn, wet, opened, re-taped, or otherwise damaged, photograph the package and the label before opening it where possible, and keep the packaging until the matter is resolved.
Report visible shipping damage to us as soon as reasonably possible, and preferably within 48 hours of delivery, so we can pursue the carrier claim while the evidence is fresh. This is a request, not a deadline that cuts off your rights. See the Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items section of our Return & Refund Policy.
Inspecting Freight and LTL Shipments
Freight shipments require more careful inspection than parcel shipments.
Before signing the delivery receipt, inspect the pallet, crating, and cartons for visible damage, crushing, punctures, moisture, shifting, or missing pieces. Where practical, open and inspect the item before signing.
If you see damage or shortage, do all of the following:
-
Note the damage or shortage on the delivery receipt before you sign it;
-
Describe what you observed as specifically as you can, for example, "pallet crushed, carton punctured on left side";
-
Sign only as "signed with damage noted" rather than a clean signature;
-
Photograph the packaging, the pallet, the label, and the damaged item;
-
Keep the packing materials, crating, and pallet until the claim is resolved; and
-
Contact us the same day or as soon as reasonably possible.
Signing a clean delivery receipt without noting visible damage can make a freight claim significantly harder, because the carrier may treat a clean receipt as evidence the shipment arrived in good condition. If you cannot inspect before signing, write on the receipt that the shipment was signed for "subject to inspection", for example, "signed pending inspection."
Concealed damage, damage not visible at delivery, should be reported to us as soon as it is discovered. Please keep all packaging and take photographs. Concealed damage claims may be limited by carrier time limits and by the condition of the packaging, which is why prompt reporting matters.
Lost, Stolen, or Missing Shipments
If tracking shows delivery but you cannot locate the package, please contact us within 5 days of the recorded delivery date so we can open a carrier trace. Carriers place time limits on trace and claim requests.
If tracking has not updated and the shipment appears stalled, contact us and we will follow up with the carrier.
For deliveries to a shared, gated, or multi-unit address, please confirm the delivery location with the carrier. We are not responsible for packages taken after a carrier records a delivery to the correct address, but we will help you pursue the carrier claim.
Incorrect Addresses, Address Changes, and Refused Deliveries
Please confirm your delivery address and any delivery instructions before completing your order.
If you need to change an address after ordering, contact us immediately. We may not be able to change an address once a shipment is in transit.
Additional charges may apply for address corrections, re-delivery after a failed attempt, storage, return-to-sender, or reshipping. Those charges come from the carrier and are your responsibility where they result from an incorrect address, an incomplete address, a refused delivery, or an inaccessible location.
If a shipment is refused or returned to us through no fault of ours, we will refund the item price less original freight, return freight, and any restocking fee disclosed before purchase.
Drop-Ship Orders
Some products ship directly from a manufacturer, distributor, or other supplier. Drop-ship orders may have different processing times, tracking procedures, packaging, carrier choices, and return requirements than items shipped from our own inventory.
For drop-ship returns, we may need to coordinate the return with the supplier. Return authorization, return freight, and restocking terms are governed by the Return & Refund Policy and by any supplier terms disclosed to you before purchase.
Local Pickup: New Parts
You may arrange to pick up new parts and accessories at 9031 Helen Ave., Odessa, TX 79766 during business hours.
Please call 432-310-5681 ahead of time to confirm that a representative is on-site and that your order is ready. Please bring your order number or proof of purchase.
Pickup hours follow our business hours. Orders held awaiting pickup may be subject to storage or restocking after an extended period, and we will contact you before taking that step.
Local Pickup: Used, Salvaged, and Clearance Parts
Used, salvaged, surplus, and clearance parts are local pickup only. They are not shipped and are not sold through online checkout.
These parts are sold AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH ALL FAULTS, final sale, without any express or implied warranty to the maximum extent permitted by law. Please see our Return & Refund Policy for the full terms and our Terms of Service for yard access requirements.
Customers picking up used or salvaged parts must call 432-310-5681 to schedule an inspection and pickup. Buyers must inspect the item in person before purchase and are responsible for verifying condition, fitment, compatibility, and suitability.
Yard access is at your own risk. Customers must follow posted signs and staff instructions, remain in designated areas, wear closed-toe footwear, and must not climb on vehicles or equipment. Persons under 18 are not permitted in the yard. A signed visitor and pickup acknowledgment may be required before entry.
Returns
Return eligibility, authorized returns, restocking fees, return shipping responsibility, and refund timing are governed by our Return & Refund Policy, which forms part of our Terms of Service.
Orders Outside Texas
We ship within the United States. We may be unable to ship certain items to certain destinations because of carrier restrictions, product restrictions, or supplier limitations.
For orders shipped outside Texas, we do not charge Texas sales tax where Texas law does not require it. Customers are responsible for any sales, use, or other tax obligations imposed by their own state or local jurisdiction.
