Privacy Policy

Basin RV has maintained a privacy policy since April 5, 2019. This Policy supersedes all prior versions.

Basin RV Repair LLC, doing business as Basin RV® ("Basin RV," "we," "us," or "our"), operates https://www.basinrv.com (the "Site") and provides mobile RV repair, shop repair, online parts sales, paid telephone consultations, and a community classified board. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights available to you.

This Policy describes our current practices. The version posted on the Site at the time you interact with us governs that interaction.

Information We Collect

Information you provide to us. We collect information you choose to give us, including:

• Name, email address, mailing and shipping address, and telephone number;

• Billing information and payment-related details;

• Order, purchase, and delivery information;

• RV and vehicle information you provide when requesting service or support;

• Appointment and consultation booking details;

• Account credentials when you create a Basin RV account;

• Listing content you submit to the community classified board, including photographs, descriptions, prices, and contact details;

• Information you submit through Site forms, including the "Request Mobile Service" form, which collects your name, telephone number, email address, and message;

• Messages, form submissions, emails, and chat conversations with us;

• Search terms you enter into the Site search function; and

• Information you provide when applying for employment with us.

Payment card information. Card payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, Square. We do not store or have access to full payment card numbers on our systems. Please review Square's privacy policy for information about how Square handles your payment data.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

• IP address and approximate geographic location;

• Device type, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers;

• Pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, time on page, and product Quick View interactions;

• Search queries entered on the Site;

• Cookie identifiers and similar technology identifiers; and

• Server logs and diagnostic data.

Information from third parties. We may receive information from service providers, advertising platforms, analytics providers, and booking or payment processors in connection with the services they provide to us.

We do not require you to provide personal information to browse the Site. However, some features, purchases, bookings, and account functions require it.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site uses cookies, pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies. These include:

• Strictly necessary cookies required for the Site to function, including cart, checkout, account, and security functions;

• Functional cookies that remember your preferences;

• Analytics cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, that help us understand how the Site is used; and

• Advertising cookies and pixels, including those associated with Google Ads and Meta, that help us measure advertising and, where enabled, deliver advertising tailored to interests based on activity across non-affiliated websites.

You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through the Site's cookie settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect Site functionality, including checkout and the account features used for the community board.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) opt-out preference signals where required by applicable law. Where you have enabled GPC in your browser, we treat that signal as a request to opt out of targeted advertising and any sale of personal information, as applicable.

How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

• Process orders, payments, refunds, and returns;

• Provide mobile and shop repair services, consultations, and customer support;

• Schedule and manage appointments, bookings, and consultations;

• Create and administer Basin RV accounts and publish community board listings;

• Communicate about orders, appointments, services, warranties, and account matters;

• Respond to inquiries and requests;

• Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site, our products, and our services;

• Measure and improve advertising and marketing performance;

• Send promotional and marketing communications where permitted and, where required, with your consent;

• Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unlawful activity;

• Enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements;

• Evaluate job applicants and manage employment relationships; and

• Comply with legal, tax, accounting, insurance, and regulatory obligations.

How We Share Information

We share personal information with service providers and processors who perform services for us. These include:

• Wix, which provides website hosting, the online store, bookings, and account functionality;

• Square, which processes card payments;

• Google Analytics, which provides website analytics;

• Google Ads, which provides advertising and advertising measurement;

• Meta, which provides advertising, advertising measurement, and social media features;

• QuickBooks, which provides accounting and invoicing functions;

• Dropbox, which provides file storage;

• Google Meet, which may be used to conduct consultations;

• ZipRecruiter, which supports recruitment and job applicant management; and

• Third-party artificial intelligence services that process conversations and inputs submitted through the Site's AI chat assistant.

We may also share information with shipping and freight carriers to deliver orders; with insurance carriers, brokers, and adjusters in connection with claims, coverage, and risk management; with professional advisors such as accountants and attorneys; with parties to a corporate transaction; and with law enforcement, courts, regulators, or other parties where we believe disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect our rights, property, safety, or the rights and safety of others.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for monetary consideration. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by applicable law without your consent.

AI Chat Assistant

The Site includes an AI chat assistant that may use geolocation data to determine whether access is available from your location. Conversations and inputs you submit through that feature may be processed by third-party artificial intelligence service providers to generate responses and to improve the service.

AI-generated responses may be inaccurate or incomplete and are not professional, technical, legal, medical, or safety advice. Please do not enter sensitive personal information, payment card numbers, or confidential information into the chat. Chat conversations may be retained as described in this Policy.

Community Classified Board

The community classified board allows users to create a Basin RV account and submit listings, including photographs and descriptions, for RVs, vehicles, and equipment they wish to sell.

Please understand that:

• Board listings are public. Listings, photographs, and any information you include in a listing are visible to anyone who visits the Site, and may be indexed by search engines or copied by third parties.

• You control what you include. Do not include personal information in a listing that you do not want publicly displayed. Contact information you include in a listing will be visible to others.

• Listings are not private communications. Basin RV does not act as a broker, agent, or intermediary, does not verify listings, and does not screen users.

• Removal is manual. There is no self-service editing or removal function. To have a listing removed, the person who posted it must contact Basin RV at 432-310-5681 or basinrv.serv@yahoo.com. We may require information to confirm the request comes from the person who posted the listing. We will ordinarily process a verified removal request within 10 business days. We may decline removal requests from anyone other than the person who posted the listing, and we may remove content at our discretion.

• Account closure. You may request closure of your Basin RV account by contacting us. We may retain certain information after account closure as described below.

Social Media

Basin RV maintains pages and accounts on third-party social media platforms, which may include Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, TikTok, and Google Business Profile.

• Platform terms govern. Your use of any social media platform is governed by that platform's own terms of service and privacy policy, not by this Policy. The platform controls the information it collects about you, and we do not control the platform's practices.

• Interactions are public. Content you post on or interact with on our social media pages (including comments, photos, reviews, tags, mentions, and messages) may be visible to the public and to the platform's other users. Do not post personal, confidential, or sensitive information on our social pages.

• We are not responsible for third-party content. We do not control and are not responsible for content posted by others on our social media pages or elsewhere on any platform, including comments, reviews, photographs, links, statements, or claims made by third parties.

• Not a channel for privacy requests or legal notices. Our social media pages are not an appropriate or reliable channel for submitting privacy rights requests, legal notices, copyright notices, warranty claims, or formal complaints. Please direct those to basinrv.serv@yahoo.com, 432-310-5681, or the address in the "Contact Us" section below. We do not guarantee that a request submitted through social media will be received or processed.

• Content you submit to us may be reshared. If you tag us, mention us, submit a photograph to us, or otherwise provide content to us through social media, you grant Basin RV a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to reproduce, display, and share that content on our Site, our social media pages, and our marketing materials, with or without attribution, and you represent that you have the right to grant that license.

• Our content is our property. Content we post on social media (including text, graphics, photographs, video, and branding) belongs to Basin RV Repair LLC and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our written permission, except as permitted by law.

• We may moderate. We may hide, remove, or restrict comments or content, and may block or restrict users, at our discretion.

Charitable and Community Organization Links

The Site includes a section listing independent third-party charitable and community organizations, which may include the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Association, Dementia Society of America, Save the Children US, and Garrett Family Foundation, together with links or buttons directing visitors to those organizations' websites.

• Links take you to the organization's own website. Clicking a link or "Visit their site" button takes you away from the Basin RV Site to the linked organization's own website. Your interaction from that point is with that organization, not with Basin RV.

• We do not collect information on their behalf. Basin RV does not collect personal information on behalf of any linked organization, does not act as that organization's agent or representative, and does not transmit, share, sell, or otherwise pass any visitor information to any linked organization.

• Their privacy practices govern. Any information you provide to a linked organization, including through a contribution or donation, is governed by that organization's privacy policy and practices. Basin RV does not control those practices and is not responsible for them. We make no representation or warranty regarding any linked organization's privacy practices, security practices, data handling, or use of information.

• We receive nothing. Basin RV receives no fee, commission, referral payment, percentage, or other benefit from any linked organization or from any contribution or donation made to one.

• We do not process contributions. Basin RV does not collect, process, hold, transmit, distribute, or administer contributions or donations, does not issue receipts, acknowledgments, or tax documentation, and does not handle refunds, reversals, or chargebacks. Any contribution, receipt, refund, or use-of-funds question must be directed to the organization.

• No tax representation. We make no representation regarding any organization's tax-exempt status or the tax-deductibility of any contribution.

• No liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Basin RV is not liable for any loss, damage, cost, or claim arising from your interaction with a linked organization, including any use of information you provide to that organization, any security incident, any solicitation, or any use of contributed funds.

• We may change links. We may add, modify, suspend, or remove any charitable or community link at any time.

Marketing Communications

We may send promotional and marketing emails where permitted by law and, where required, with your consent. Each marketing email includes an unsubscribe method. You may also opt out by contacting us at basinrv.serv@yahoo.com.

We will honor opt-out requests within the timeframe required by applicable law, and no later than 10 business days. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional, service, warranty, account, security, or legally required communications.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, and then delete or de-identify it. Our general retention periods are:

• Order, purchase, and transaction records: 7 years after the transaction, for tax, accounting, warranty, and dispute purposes;

• Repair, service, and warranty records: 4 years after the service is completed or the warranty period ends, whichever is later;

• Payment and invoicing records: 7 years, consistent with tax and accounting requirements;

• Consultation and appointment records: 3 years;

• Account information: while your account is active, and up to 2 years after closure or inactivity;

• Community board listings: while the listing is published, and until removed at the poster's request or by us;

• Marketing contact records and consent records: until you opt out, plus 4 years to demonstrate compliance;

• Chat and AI assistant conversations: up to 24 months;

• Website analytics data: up to 26 months;

• Social media interactions with us: up to 3 years;

• Job applicant records: 2 years after the application is resolved; and

• Security, incident, and fraud-prevention records: up to 5 years.

We may retain information longer where required by law, where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, or where we are subject to a legal hold. Retention periods may be extended where records are relevant to an open dispute, investigation, or legal proceeding.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. These include access controls, account authentication, encryption of data in transit through our service providers, restricted internal access, vendor management, and periodic review of our practices.

No method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot and do not guarantee the absolute security of any information. You provide information at your own risk, and you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable authorities as required by law.

Children's Privacy

The Site and our services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users must be at least 18 years old to create a Basin RV account or post a listing on the community classified board. We do not knowingly permit minors to create accounts or submit listings.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us at basinrv.serv@yahoo.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

Your Texas Privacy Rights

The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) provides rights to Texas residents in certain circumstances. Depending on the applicability of that law, Texas residents may have the right to:

• Confirm whether we process their personal data and access that data;

• Correct inaccurate personal data;

• Delete personal data we collected from or about them;

• Obtain a portable copy of personal data they provided to us, in a format that allows it to be transmitted to another controller;

• Opt out of the processing of personal data for purposes of targeted advertising;

• Opt out of the sale of personal data; and

• Opt out of profiling in furtherance of a decision that produces a legal or similarly significant effect.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not conduct profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

How to exercise your rights. Submit a request to basinrv.serv@yahoo.com or call 432-310-5681. Please describe the right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for us to identify you and your request.

Verification. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request, which may include confirming information we already have on file or requesting additional information. We will use verification information only for that purpose.

Timing. We will respond to a verified request within 45 days of receipt, unless an extension is permitted and we notify you. If we need additional time, we may extend the response period once by an additional 45 days, consistent with applicable law.

Authorized agents. You may submit a request through an authorized agent where permitted by law. We may require proof of authorization and may still require you to verify your own identity.

Appeals. If we decline your request, we will tell you why. You may appeal that decision by emailing basinrv.serv@yahoo.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal" within 30 days of our decision. We will respond to an appeal within 60 days. If we deny your appeal, we will provide you with a method to contact the Texas Attorney General to submit a complaint.

No discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you different prices, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised a privacy right.

Other laws. Residents of other states with applicable privacy laws may have similar rights. Contact us at basinrv.serv@yahoo.com and we will respond as required by the law that applies to you.

International Users

The Site is operated from the United States and is intended for users in the United States. Access from certain countries may be restricted or blocked using geolocation data. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where privacy protections may differ from those in your country. By using the Site, you consent to that transfer to the extent permitted by law.

Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" signals. There is no uniform industry standard for responding to them. We do honor Global Privacy Control signals as described above.

Third-Party Websites and Services

The Site contains links to third-party websites, including charitable and community organizations, payment processors, carriers, social media platforms, and other resources. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, security, or privacy practices. Their privacy policies govern the information you provide to them.

Basin RV® is a registered trademark of Basin RV Repair LLC. All content on the Site (including its design, layout, graphics, text, product listings, images, and source code) is the proprietary property of Basin RV Repair LLC and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. All rights are reserved.

Any unauthorized use, reproduction, duplication, copying, scraping, redistribution, or imitation of Basin RV's proprietary design, branding, or content (in whole or in part, by any means and for any purpose) is strictly prohibited.
